Manganese Bronze Rods have a higher degree of malleability than zinc or bronze metal.
The ratio of copper and zinc in bronze can be adjusted to produce soft and hard brasses. Bronze has a low melting point, making it an ideal casting material. Manganese bronze rods are made up of alpha brass which has copper and zinc content. These rods are suitable for cold working have higher corrosion resistance compared to brass and contains a greater proportion of zinc. Manganese bronze rods are used to make wood screws, fasteners, electrical sockets, spring contacts, and more.
