Our S B Rods are made from bronze and can be customized to meet specific requirements. Compared to Zinc or Bronze, Silicon Bronze Rods are much more malleable.
Bronze can be made into both soft and hard brass by varying the amounts of Zinc and copper in it. It has a low melting point and is an excellent material for casting. Silicon Bronze Rods are made from the most common type of alpha brass, which contains copper and zinc. Bronze rods are ideal for cold working and offer higher corrosion resistance compared to brass with a greater amount of Zinc. Silicon Bronze Rods are used to make a wide range of products, including wood screws, fasteners, electrical sockets, and spring contacts.
